Its time to say Goodbye to the Blog Site!

Planning for the future!

Weds 27th Nov 2024

Hi there folks ..I’ve been riding since I was 16 yrs old,  I caught the bug of touring on a motorbike nearly 40 yrs ago; since then I’ve ridden nearly 250,000 miles covering much of Europe, the Far East comprising Thailand, Laos, Cambodia & Myanmar, a tour of Rajathstan, Northern India and several 1000s miles in Northern California…I love the freedom, the scenery, the roads, the food, the wine, the culture and people you meet; the incidents and experiences that happen along the way and the memories that you return with are all part of it, and make me always want the next Adventure 🙂

Back in 2015 one of my friends suggested that I should blog my travels…seemed like a good idea to share my experiences with anyone who might be interested; so this blog was born. Primarily aimed at friends and family, I’m amazed how it developed to the point now where I typically get visitors from more than 30 different countries each year!

A few years ago I took the plunge and bought an Action Camera to record my travels and bring them to life via a YouTube channel “Big John Moto Touring Adventures”

I’m certainly not trying to become the next YouTube sensation 🙂 I just enjoy reliving past adventures during the process of editing a video. It takes many hours to create a video so I’ve decided to shut down the Blog in January 2025 and concentrate on BigJohnMoto@youtube.

So I’d like to thank all those who have have read my blog over the last 10 years; I hope some of you will come and find me on YouTube and subscribe to the channel to stay in touch with my motorcycle touring adventures.

Best wishes to you all..and ride safe.
