We had a lazy start, only 150kms today on the busy main road to Vientiane. This was the highway to hell, lots of road works on the way. They have a totally different concept over here; just keep the traffic flowing both ways through the work. No stop and go, just every man for himself through the dust and treacherous surface; motorbikes, cars, trucks and coaches all trying to find their way through!
This was a busy road but easier to overtake other traffic on our bikes. On the way though all the traffic we passed a big black Merc S class 63 AMG, a lovely super fast car(6.3 litre 0-60 in 4 secs).. why would you buy one to drive on these roads? Must have cost a fortune in Laos!
Finally we reached the city and the road improved, we found our hotel a Best Western; such an improvement on the Paradise in Vang Vieng 👍 This is our last night in Laos 🇱🇦, tomorrow we cross the Mekong back into Thailand 🇹🇭
