London to Chiang Mai
Just 1 week from now I fly off with Thai Airways to Chiang Mai in North of Thailand for my first adventure of 2018..can’t wait to see the sun, feel warm and get on a motorbike again 🙂

The big picture
Plan is to ride North via Chiang Rai and cross into Laos near the border with Thailand and Myanmar, meeting up with the main group for this trip. The next 10 days will then be spent riding South on the twistiest roads up in the remote mountains and ending in the Laos capital, Vientiane on the river Mekong. Then crossing back into Thailand and complete a loop back up North to Chiang Mai. Approx 1500miles in all. I’ll be riding a Suzuki Vstrom 650; its a good bike for this sort of riding.
