in 1975 the Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot formed a Communist peasant farming society which resulted in the deaths of 25% of the country’s population from execution..this created the infamous “killing fields”..genocide of their own people!
We arranged a tuk tuk to take us the 10 kms to one of the main sites through the clogged PP traffic.
He was supposed to wait for us but when we had finished he was nowhere to be found..we hadn’t paid him so we found another and made our way back..later we bumped into him outside our hotel wanting his money..no chance!
The visit makes you wonder how one human can do such things to another!
PP is a large city..we stayed on the Riverside area which is good..lots of bars & restaurants..they let us park the bikes inside the hotel near reception..great service 🙂
Plenty of night life!..but also the other side of life, women sleeping rough with their kids near our hotel.
